James Fields, MD

Dr. James Fields is a pediatric physician who began practice in Norman in 1982. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University and his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma. He completed his residency at Oklahoma Children’s Memorial Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 1982. He is Board Certified in Pediatrics and is a member of the Oklahoma State Medical Association.

Dr. Fields received the Reader’s Choice award for Norman’s Best Pediatrician in 2007 solo, and in 2009 and 2010 with his partner Dr. Eileen Fox . He received the Norman Transcript People Choice Award as Best Pediatrician at Norman Regional Hospital in 2005. Dr. Fields has a deep sense of family that extends into his practice. As he sees his patients over several years, his staff is amazed by how he recalls specific incidents, their likes and preferences. Very often, he not only remembers each of his patients’ names and family members but he also recalls their birth months or birth years as they grow older. He really enjoys getting to know each of his young patients.

Dr. Fields is known for “going the extra mile” for his patients. He feels it is extremely important for all of his children to have their well child check-ups and vaccinations in order to prevent diseases. In turn, he detects many serious diseases and illnesses with his very thorough examinations. In addition to his medical practice, James Fields enjoys spending time with his wife and four children and especially with his new granddaughter. He enjoys running, watching movies, and loves to try new restaurants around town. He sees patients Monday, Tuesday and Friday in Norman. He has admitting privileges at Norman Regional Hospital, at Moore Medical Center, at OU Medical Center and at JD McCarty Center for children with disabilities.

Brian Ellis, MD

Dr. Brian Ellis is a Board Certified pediatric physician who began practicing in Norman in 2009. Dr. Ellis grew up in Midwest City, and earned his Bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma City University and his Medical Degree from the University of Oklahoma. He completed his pediatric residency at The Children’s Hospital at Scott & White in Temple, Texas in 2009.

Dr. Ellis looks forward to establishing long-term relationships with his patients in order to help them manage their overall wellness and any chronic conditions. He believes that checkups and preventative medicine including immunizations are very important in keeping patients on track in their overall health. Dr. Ellis also values parental input because he believes that parents play a vital position on each child’s “healthcare team.”

Dr. Ellis enjoys spending time with his family, particularly his wife and 2 amazing children. He enjoys watching movies, photography, playing golf, and video games. He is a born and bred Sooner and enjoys being a member of the Norman community. Dr. Ellis has privileges at Norman Regional Healthplex.

Glen Diaz, MSN, APRN, FNP – BC

Glen is a family nurse practitioner who has been with Premiere Pediatrics, working with Drs. Fox and Fields, since 2001. After graduating high school, he joined the United States Army. During his 7 years of service, he was given the opportunity to study Spanish, which he is able to utilize in caring for his patients. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, with Honors, from the University of South Florida and his Master of Science in Nursing degree, with Honors, from the University of Oklahoma. He is certified by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.

Glen is married to his wife, Kate, and together they enjoy lots of activities with their 5 children and 3 grandchildren. Glen loves watching sports, rooting for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the OU Sooners during football season, and the San Antonio Spurs during basketball season. He enjoys spending time at the lake, working on his lawn, watching movies, keeping up with current events, and spending time with family and friends. Glen and his wife love traveling and always look forward to their next trip. They hope to retire near the beach one day.

André Ruhlmann, MD

Dr. André Ruhlmann was born and raised in Oklahoma City. He earned his degree in Physiology at Oklahoma State University, and earned his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma. After medical school, he completed his residency at OU Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Ruhlmann enjoys connecting with each one of his patients and their families, and building long-lasting relationships with them. He loves to laugh and will take any opportunity to bring humor to his visits.

When he isn’t at work, his favorite things are spending time with his wife, Haley, and his two kids. He also loves a good run, golfing, traveling, being involved in his church, and cheering on the Thunder!

Hitesh Patel, MD

Dr. Hitesh Patel grew up in the small towns of Canute and Pryor, Oklahoma. He went on to the University of Oklahoma, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering followed by his medical doctorate. He completed pediatric residency at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.

As a nerdy extrovert, Dr. Patel is excited to get to learn constantly as medicine changes, to have the privilege to teach children and families about the human body and health, and to provide resilient children the opportunity to achieve their highest potential in life. He will toss in a dad joke every so often too.

At home, he loves to spend time with his wonderful wife, two beautiful children, and two energetic dogs. He enjoys staying active, traveling to see family and friends, and finding the best local restaurants and coffee shops. Lastly, Go Spurs Go, Let’s Go Chiefs, and Boomer Sooner!

Blakeley Hamit, MSN, APRN, FNP – C

Blakeley was born and raised in Norman. After graduation from Norman High School, she attended the University of Oklahoma, where she received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She then began working for Norman Regional Health System, where she stayed for 19 years, before joining Premiere Pediatrics. In 2012, she was named The March of Dimes Neonatal Nurse of the Year for the State of Oklahoma. Blakeley worked the majority of her 19 years at Norman Regional Hospital in the newborn nursery and got the privilege of being there to witness many births!

Blakeley went on to earn a Masters of Science from Graceland University in December of 2016 as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Her love and past specializations are in pediatrics.

Blakeley and her 2 daughters live in Norman. She enjoys traveling, gardening, and spending time with friends and family.

Rhiannon Baker, MSN, APRN, FNP – C

Rhiannon joined Premiere Pediatrics in February 2019. She is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner who earned her Masters in Nursing from Graceland University in December 2018. Prior to graduation, she was a Charge Nurse at Norman Regional Hospital in the Newborn Nursery/Neonatal Transition Team. She obtained her Bachelors in Nursing from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 2014, and her Associates in Nursing from Oklahoma City Community College in 2013.

Rhiannon lives nearby in Newalla with her husband Ian and her two sons, Oliver and Indiana. She enjoys spending her time reading, watching her sons play baseball, and traveling with her husband around the country for his paintball tournaments.

Caroline Trommels, MSN, APRN, FNP – C

Caroline Trommels is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner from Norman, Oklahoma. She obtained her Bachelors in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma and began her career at the OU Children’s Hospital as a neonatal intensive care unit nurse. During this time, she obtained her Masters in Nursing from the University of South Alabama. She has been practicing as a Nurse Practitioner in pediatric since 2016.

Caroline lives in Norman with her husband, Stephen and two daughters, Olivia and Frances. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and loves to travel! She is excited to be a part of Premiere Pediatrics and looks forward to taking care of your children.

Amanda Lowry, MSN, APRN, CPNP, PMHS

Amanda has been a pediatric nurse practitioner since 2004. She has experience in primary care and pediatric rheumatology. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oklahoma and her Master of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University. She is certified through the Oklahoma Board of Nursing and as a primary care pediatric nurse practitioner (PNP-PC) and primary care pediatric mental health specialist (PMHS) through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. She has had numerous leadership roles in the Oklahoma chapter of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. She is currently on the advisory board for Cavett Kids Foundation.

Amanda and her husband, Travis, enjoy spending time with their 2 sons. The boys keep them busy with all their sports and activities. They attend church and enjoy spending time with family that live close. Amanda enjoys fitness, being with friends, reading and being outside. The Lowrys love to travel and are always planning their next vacation.

Amanda will see newborns at Norman Regional Hospital and is currently accepting new patients.

Lindsey Lancaster, MSN, APRN, FNP – C

Lindsey Lancaster is a Family Nurse Practitioner, board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from San Diego State University in 2007. She then worked for 14 years as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at Norman Regional Health System. Lindsey received a Master of Science in Nursing in May 2021, after graduating from the University of Oklahoma, Family Nurse Practitioner program.

Lindsey and her husband Aaron enjoy family time with their four children and love water sports, skiing, and watching movies together. Lindsey loves ice cream, reading, flowers, and has a love-hate relationship with running. She is excited to be part of the Premiere Pediatrics team.

Tori Hendrix, MSN, APRN, FNP – C

Tori is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She was born and raised in Cameron, Missouri. She moved to Oklahoma, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Oklahoma Christian University and her Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing. Tori joined Premiere Pediatrics in September 2021. Prior to joining Premiere Pediatrics, she worked at Mercy Hospital as a Postpartum Nurse.

Tori’s favorite part about her job is building strong relationships with patients and their families and she is excited to continue caring for your children.

Tori lives in Washington, Oklahoma with her husband, Taylor. She enjoys spending time outside with her husband and their dogs, attending church, cooking and baking, watching the KC Royals, and traveling with family.

Kelli Bryan, MSN, APRN, CPNP

Kelli is a Board Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Born and raised in Norman, she received her Bachelor of science in nursing from OU and worked as a pediatric oncology nurse until receiving her masters of science in nursing from Wright State University. She had worked as a pediatric nurse practitioner for 12 years before joining Premiere Pediatrics in 2022.

Kelli and her husband Jonathan life in Norman where they spend their free time running back and forth between Sooner Theater and the soccer fields with their four children, and planning their next camping adventure whenever they get a chance.
